Codiaeum variegatum, more commonly known as croton, is an evergreen native to Malaysia and islands in the western Pacific. Foliage comes in a wide variety of brightly splashed or spotted, smooth, ruffled or twisted shapes. Croton ‘Gold Dust’ is a compact plant with elliptical to oval leaves which are medium green and liberally dusted with paint-like specks of yellow. Mature crotons are "V" shaped.

Process :
  1. Croton can be grown using various methods: Seeds,Root Cuttings, Stem Cuttings and or new plant from the parent.
  2. Check for root development within couple of days.
  3. Prepare a good potting mix or loamy soil and transpant with developed roots.
  4. Provide your croton with at least six hours of full sunlight each day to maintain the look of the leaves. 
  5. Plant your croton plant in well-draining soil to prevent insect and mold issues.
  6. Water the croton at the first sign of wilting in the leaves, or whenever the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch.
  7. Feed the gold dust plants fertilizer in the early spring, when blooming begins

Do's

  1. Cut yellow leaves and damaged branches to avoid pests and fungal attack.
  2. While watering, slow and deep watering is preferred, pour the water all over the plant foliage

Don'ts

  1. Avoid repotting plants in large containers, most of the plants need to be group in condensed pots.
  2. Avoid partial watering and use water sprayers to water equally in all directions pot/plant.
